Accommodation Cost In Austria?


Tuition Free Universities:

Public universities in Austria are tuition free. You have to pay  for tuition fees plus  for the Austrian Student Union and insurance fee per semester.

Expense:  Tuition fees                     363.36 Euros
                  Austrian Student Union  16.86 Euros
                  Living Expenses              Variable  

                   Total                                700-800 euros

 Students From third world countries are exempted to pay tuition frees 
For Austrian Students:

For Austrian students and students who have the same status as Austrians (i.e. nationals of all EU and EEA member countries) and who have not exceeded the minimum duration of their study programme plus two semesters, no fee is payable. After the two semesters of tolerance, you have to pay € 363.36 each semester.

 For All Students:

 The student union membership fee "ÖH-Beitrag" is € 17,50 per semester and is compulsory for all students.

The student accident insurance fee is € 0,50 per semester (2014).

The Universities of Applied Sciences are entitled to charge tuition fees. For more details, please contact the institution of your choice directly.

      700-800 Euros is On campus living expense. You have to get enrolled in a course to get accommodation on campus.
